5th grade recently completed the Native American novel, The Sign of the Beaver. We also enjoyed the movie, but the majority voted that they liked the novel better!! It gave more detail! We were able to review the Native American core content from S.S. they had learned while we read the novel.
6th grade recently read the realistic fiction mystery novel, Eleven. We were hoping their would be a sequel one day. It was a great novel!
4th grade is currently reading The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. It is a tradition to read it each year in 4th grade. It is such a fun novel to read that we enjoy around the holidays!

ReplyDeleteWhen I read a book it makes me feel like im in a new world...one time i was reading this realist filling book and when the girl got hurt it almost hurt my too.Haha! My mother thought I was crazy! :)But anyway...I loved the sign of The Beaver! You have a good way of picking out the right books Mrs.Marler!!!!
